Maybe I`m an idiot (shut up), but I was watching TV tonight and I noticed that the particular commercial I was watching featured an attractive man and an attractive woman. Like they all do, no big deal right? Then I realized. LIKE THEY ALL DO! WHAT THE HELL??? So I continued watching and sure enough, all the people were attractive. Then my show continued and lo and behold, attractive people. It`s not just all make up, a good majority of the people on TV are attractive. Even 'reality' shows such as 'The Real World' have nothing but hot chicks in it and... yeah... guys... I hadn`t really given it a second glance because seeing attractive people on TV is the norm. Infact, I really don`t know why I even came to notice the widespread superficiality on TV. In the end I suppose we`re inclined to react more to someone who is good looking so they just saturate the television with people that we might think are hot until they land a bullseye and we end up watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer just to see Cordilia hot bod. Damn... she was hot. I guess it`s all sales and ratings.

...Um....okay...? Well, yeah...television has always been about the attractiveness, just like any other form of visual media. Why? Because people seem to admire looks and beauty and that keeps them somewhat interested in the program their watching or the ad they're looking at. And through ratings and sales, companies get their money. The only really two medias that don't necessarily have to be about visuals are the radio and the internet. Radio is because all you're doing is listening to voices....the internet is because, let's face it, there are a lot of sites out there that deviate from the standard of attractiveness that people tend to want. Television is probably the worst possible media there is in the world. They only feature supermodels and the 'beautiful' people, and because of this, the younger audience somehow gets it in their heads that they have to look a certain way to be accepted by others. They, in general, want to be super-skinny and grow up to have guys admire them largely for their looks....but this is just my opinion.

Heh. I saw as much as the super skinny models, but I frankly didn`t care. I`m 18 if it`s of any importance Cactus. Maybe YOU noticed it cause you`re a chick who notices things. But I`m a guy who only really notices stuff that he likes or cares about. I think a girl might notice this because they look for attractiveness in both women and men, where as men really only look for it in women. Or maybe ugly people might notice. I actually noticed everybody was good looking when I noticed how chiseled this guys face was and how presentable he was. Anyway, age in this case is completely irrelevant.
