Allright, I see here, we have many Learned people in the anime Department, so an appreciation for (In my opinion) On of the best and most cut short animes ever has got to be....Witch Hunter Robin.
The art, Is just awe inspiring. The acting (Ive got the Japanese and love that much better than the english versions, though both are close to equal) is better than most.
Heres the lowdown for those whove not seen it, the plot starts out with Robin. A prior Nun who is recruited to be apart of a witch hunting group. Witchs appear, most normally, in the form of a person unaware that they have the abilities they do. Witchs harm people, and thus they are hunted. The group of hunters also posses a technology called Orbo that counteracts the powers of most if not all, witches. Robin refuses to use it as she herself is a witch. A fire witch. The entire 26 episodes (First and only season) Are centered around Robin harnessing her powers and learning to live in the "real" world. Then, throw in a slight romantic story and BAM, you have greatness. I wont say much more on the plot, lest I give it away, but Its worth the buy. I think 3 or 4 episodes for 20 bucks. You CAN download them, but thats illegal in most places, so I wont "Tell" You to do that...*Cough*
Anyway, its worth the checkout. So....DO IT!

I completely agree. The series could have gone so much further, maybe to the point of a whole other season, though I think only a few ending eps would have contented me.
I will admit, when I first saw the first 10 or so episodes, I wasn't impressed with the way the plot was moving. But there is a point where it jumps from mediocre to ridiculously good, and then I was hooked til the very end.
And yes, the art is fabulous. The action and character design was wonderful. Such a great series, and I share it with whoever I can, when I can.

I, too think it's an awesome anime. I loved how it was dark from the beginning to the end. Yeah, it may have been slow at first, but if really picked up when you got more and more into it.
The concept of the plot was great, and the twists in it kept me well interested. Kain's right, check it out if you haven't already! (it's also on Cartoon Network...I think. Although the Japanese version is MUCH better than the English one).

I loved the show and the music, especially the opening track. I don't think she was a nun before though...was she?

[glow=blue,4,300]OMG, GoGo, I hope Mori doesn't start insisting she was a nun *again*!!!
Anyway, I loved WHR. ST got me into it. I must agree the first couple of episodes were like, "Um... can we pick this up a bit?" but I eventually became entranced by it. Robin kinda reminded me of D1OP, though. I won't mention the ending, but I will say I was rather upset when it ended! GAH!
And Mori, Robin was *not* a nun![/glow]

[glow=blue,4,300]LOL, that's why I asked her was she talking about Kiki's Delivery Service. That was the closest thing to an anime with a nun I've seen (and all I've seen of that was a commercial!)[/glow]
