This movie just looks....excellent. I am going to be going with my anime club to see it at this little theater downtown. I am a little peeved that they only have the movie showing at limited locations still, but I guess having it in the theater is cool enough as it is.
Anyone already seen this movie? I have it on my computer, but I was waiting to see it on the big screen.
If you've seen the first movie, maybe you'll agree with me when I say it was absolutely f**king beautiful, but damned if I know what was really going on. I have heard the same goes with this movie, but imagine animation 50 times better than you have probably ever seen it.
And also, I go into this having seen the GITS: Stand Alone Complex, which was much more explanatory and super awesome (yay Tachikomas and Batou!). I feel like I know the main character much better than i did in the movie, which I think can only be done with 26 episodes.
I am really looking forward to seeing it next week.

By now, you`ve probably seen it. So I can say this now. Too much CG. Just too much... And the 'Major pulls until arms explode' routine is getting old. Like her 'jumping out of the window while disappearing act' and her 'landing on tank technique'. I don`t remember what else was sucky about it, but there were a coupla things.

How can you have too much CG? I thought it could have used more when animating the people.
For me, the problem came with the heavy usage of proverbs. It was hard to contemplate them while trying to watch the ridiculously beautiful animation on screen. I guess it is one of those movies with great replay value.
I was less confused in this movie. And I have heard many people comment on Batou's depressing demeanor, but I thought he still kicked ass. Of course he was much less funny than he was in Stand Alone Complex, but I thought it fit the movie.
And best scene in the entire movie? The parade scene.

Im wanting to see this, unfortunatly Its not showing in my area....ever. I did see the first movie and a few episodes in the series, basically just enough to confuse me and hook me. So, yeah, pm me with some more detail as Im dying to know. I dont want you to ruin to much of the movie, but explain a few things huh?!?
