Just wondering who really thought I'd want a leprechaun.... Anyway, this discussion came up briefly in the ANIME room, but I found an article in the news today relating to it as well. What's the subject? Tattoos. Here is an article about a man who gets paid by real companies to tatoo their advertisements on his body, slogans and whatnot. The article states that he can earn as much as $500 or more to tatoo the advertisements. Anyway, the topic is tatoos. Like them or hate them? Have a few of your own? Me, I don't have any. Personally, I don't hate tatoos in general. I just know myself and know that if I got one, I'd probably change my mind years later about it. But I'd definitely not want to go as far as this guy went with advertising people's messages. I just want to know what happens if the company goes out of business and he's stuck with that one for a good deal of his life. But hey, tatooing, imo, is a matter of personal preferrence, and if he's fine with that, then that's his problem. So? Thought's opinions?

I like tattoos.. not ones on ur face of course.. but tattoos are kewl. I got one in Nov. for my 19th b-day. In fact.. for the first couple days SK had to neosporin it for me. I have a fairy on my lower back. And no bs from anyone about how i can't look at it. 2 of my grandfathers keep giving me shit.. saying "why's it on ur back... u can't see.. it takes up half ur god damned back".. lol.. But it was my b-day present from my dad. He said if i wanted a tattoo he'd take me to get it done, because he wanted to make sure i got it done right.. cus he knew i'd get one regardless. But... i don't regret it.. my dad has lotss of tattoo's so i've always wanted to be like my dad and i don't think of it as destroying my body.. but decorating my temple. Even though my boyfriends mom thinks i'm going to hell.. and she has told me this. Plus i have my bellybutton done.. and 3 holes in each of my ears.. the lobe.. 2 in my right cartlidge.. and 1 in my left cartlidge.. i'm done crazily covered.. but the tattoo is pretty.. lemme know if u guys like it.. lol

[glow=blue,4,300]I don't have them... don't ever intend on getting them but I have a couple friends who have them... mainly Mori, my boyfriend and a few others. I can't imagine having something permanently placed on my body that I may not end up liking 6 hours down the road. Mainly because I have a tendency to change randomly and decide something I like I don't like anymore (remember the blue pack of Starburst, ST? Jolly Joes?) I like tattoos on other people because it's not on me... and I can care less what they have. My boyfriend got a tattoo and I didn't like it at first, but the best thing I could do is forget he has it sometimes. I've seen really nice tattoos, different ones and common ones (*ahem, tribal tattoos*). In fact, at one point, I did want a tattoo (I've said small dragon wings on my back, a tiny music note, a small dragon on my arm) but I've stuck with piercings... at least when I'm tired of them I can take them out. Yes, I remember putting Neosporin on your tattoo... it was the most intimate experience I've ever had with a girl... I've never had a girl's ass in my face like that before. [/glow]

I like tattoos and plan on getting a few of my own. I want a passage somewhere, Buddhist, but all the quotes I read become boring to me.
I`ve heard of a guy putting advertisements on his body in England about 6 or 7 years ago. I dunno if you`re talking about the same guy though.
He he he, Americans and their messed up butchered phrases ;D
That`s hot
Anyway, this thread is being moved over to general topics.

T.T Fooled me, you. I got all excited about this leprechaun thing, and you wanted to talk about tattoos... *Feels cheated*
Anyways, I would never get a tattoo myself, but I don't mind small ones on shoulder/back/ankle that can be hidden under clothes if the situation so requires. And anyways, they have to be something nice/cute/cool

i love tattoos and body mods in general. i prefer tattoos myself over piercings had em done and took em out, enda story. got mine first done shortly after my 16th birthday and my second one done almost excatly a year after my first. i have a cross on the back of my neck and a skull and crossbones on my right wrist, ill stick up pix if people wanna see, too tired at teh mo. mori the shading on your ink is incredible, really stands out. i agree with what Sk says about tribals, people are just picking them off the walls and getting em done just cuz' . i feel that tattoos should have a meaning, not essentialy in general but to the wearer.

Thanks Nori! It only took about an hour an a half. But the guy that did it for me's name is Bean. He's the best! He's a genius and does amazing detail! He's a friend of the family! And... Kage... SK only neosporined it for me b/c it was hard for me to reach it on my own.. and i didn't want to accidently do it too hard and take the scabs off. Although it scabbed in color so u couldn't tell very much!

Mori... there were seemingly so many things wrong with that statement... and of course Kage turned my statement into something completely wrong. LOL.
What I was saying is that I couldn't like a tattoo on me because the amount of time I'm into something is so short it's annoying.
