Um... to tell you the truth... I'm not looking forward to any games with the title FFVII: Insert title here. The only thing I'm looking forward to is FFVII:AC and that's only because I want to see if Sephy is still alive and see the clones kick some a... butt. (Is ass in the Bank of Bad Words?) Otherwise, SquareEnix is definitely raping the series for every penny they can manage to get.

Aww.. well I've Always loved and Tried every Final Fantasy game regardless if its a sequel.. coughcoughX-2coughcough. it's nice that continues the story.. Especially FFVII.. I loved that game.. everyone was so emotionally invovled.. And I have a feeling Sephy is still Alive.. and his lil minions at work.. Point is.. I can't wait for another FFVII story.. I saw some screenshots.. the only that worries me is that it didn't seem to have any RPG elements in it.. maybe we're seeing some sort of new type of genre.. maybe not!!.. the con is that sure.. it totally kills what your imagination has filled in.. like the blanks.. no more fan fiction for Vincent.. Oh well.. now that we're on this subject I also wanna try Final Fantasy : Before Crisis Follows the turks around ..I also saw that ZACK [ the black spike haired dude ] might play a role in the game.. and I always stayed Wondering what happend to that dude.. I refuse to believe he died.. whatever.. I know this really isn't part of announcing .. and I apologize if its any incoveniance.. hope to have a bit more feed back.. -[Del]-

I've always liked Vincent, but more than that, I like the mystery that surrounds him. I'm just afraid that SquareEnix (I always wanna call them Squeenix for whatever reason) is really ruining the novelty of the game. By trying to go back and explain every frickin' thing it's gonna take away the imagination and curiosity that it once sparked. You can't tell me one of the reasons why FFVII was so great is because the way it was so open ended. How many games can you say just have you constantly thinking, "Well, this could have happened... or this could have happened..." and no one could prove you wrong. Explaining *everything* is just wrong, man, damn wrong. SquareEnix is frustrating me with the amount of stuff they're putting out for FFVII. CAN THEY PUT OUT A SEPH PLUSHIE?!
Oh, and about the minions (I can't believe I'm saying this, but...) even if Seph *is* dead, it'll be worth watching the clones whoop ass. You see I've already picked out my favorite? *points to sig* Yay, for Kadaj!

I'm not even going to begin on your clone obsession, SK. ;D
But yeah, I suppose it's just a game for all of the hard-core Final Fantasy fans. I don't see them pitching it for any other audience, since it is a sequel, and all of the other semi-fans have deducted 'cool points' from SquareEnix now that they are trying to milk FFVII and Advent Children for all it's worth.
I never got Vincent in the game (because I'm slow and special), so I don't really care for him as much as others, but still...even if I had, I still wouldn't get it because SquareEnix's practically bombarding us with the production of new games based off of the old ones when Square used to be SquareSoft. SquareSoft was the king...and now...well, it's quality has dropped, IMO.
Anyway, it's really up to how much of a Square fan you are nowadays. I used to be where you were, Del, a couple of years ago...but now, Square's merger has created too many disappointments to me.

Hey, I've had my disappointments.. but that doesn't mean i'm gonna stop supporting them, they still have the Square part of SquareSoft.. its just the marketing issue.
Still a Devoted fan, regardless of the crappy games, they will come out, and I will play them..
I do have to say Tactics has probably been the best Enix game that has come out, considering that I loved Tactics for the Psone.. So maybe Enix will hit us with a surprise.
I do have to say.. Enix didn't let me down with KH. though sure its not FF..
I won't be surprised if Enix surprises us.. I'm hoping FFXII isn't a disppointment... I'm so looking foward to that.. though I doubt it'll fail cause it's based on the same world of Ivalice from tactics [Gba]
Oh Well.. I'm still gonna be that Gullible player. I'm not very negative. I try to always look for the pros of things!!! though not completely ignorant to the obvious draw backs of games.
in other words I just try To support the industry.
-shrugs-
My thoughts!

[glow=blue,2,300]To tell you the truth, I admire your enthusiasm and constant support. It's nice to hear someone will support Square no matter what. But I think that if Square gets the point that many of their fans think they are giving us a halfass job on something then maybe they'll step it up a notch. I personally do not have much confidence in them anymore. I must agree with you, maybe they will surprise us. For the sake of being happy, I hope they prove me wrong. Cuz I've got $50 set aside for that game and would *love* to spend it on that. Otherwise, that's going towards something better, like food! (Yes, I am always hungry and I believe nothing is better than food.)[/glow]

It looks like an RE type game to me from the screenies I have seen.
If so then it's an unexpected turn of game style for an FF game.
A very overlooked game from Enix was what I believe to be their first jap-english port PSX game named Valkyrie Profile. Which, personally I think is an amazing game, so go get it if you can since it's very much worth playing. (who wouldn't want to play as a sexy silver haired Valkyrie anyways?)
I think the FF series is about to hit a dead end with all these games being revived.

I think the FF series is about to hit a dead end with all these games being revived. Yeah, me too. I hope they don't start pulling FFVIII sequels or prequels...and if they even try touching IX, Square is going to get an ugly letter in the mail.

Explaining *everything* is just wrong, man, damn wrong. i still havent lost faith in there ability to leave you thinking, i believe(hope) that there probebly gonna fill in some gaps with the film, like what happend after cloud killed sephiroth (if it happend), and where everyone went. the films probebly gonna introduce vincent more as a pre-emp before the sequal game, which would be nice as i loved vincent as a character because he was so cool headed and uncaring, wallowing in his sorrows. i think a bit more history for him would be interesting, as would be his point of view of the story ff7 as he joined the group from being awaken from a coffin in a shinra owned mansion?. but im gonna hold my breath...and pray
