Who? Square Enix, of course. They have recently announced that they are making a fourth Final Fantasy VII Spinoff. This has got to be the most retarded thing I have ever seen in video game news. Found here.

My main problem with Square nowadays is the fact that they are basically milking FFVII for all it's worth...and FFVII came out--what?--seven years ago (1997, I think)? They're going overboard with all of this, which I am certain was spawned by the success of the announcement that Advent Children was coming out. Now they think they can make a sleugh of games based off of Final Fantasy VII and expect us not to get tired of them? Hmph. Not likely.

Yep, now we have Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis, and now this--Crisis Core. Someone hand me a gun...I'm about to shoot myself in the head for liking Square in the first place.

Thoughts? Opinions? (on the game, not about blowing my brains out. ;D)

Well you have to give them credit for trying. SquareEnix is trying to make as much money as they can off of FF7 fans and that is probably the only group they will get any money from. The other people will see it for what is is though: a mockery.
