Okay, I'm sure everyone has noticed ST's absence this week (and if you haven't, shamed on you! ) but I just got off the phone with her.
Her genius of a roommate messed up her internet connection so she is currently waiting for someone from the school (or phone company) to fix her internet connection. She's not sure how long she'll be gone, but she hopes it's not another week.
Auraki or I will keep you all posted with what's going on.

Yeah...my connection has temporarily been crudely fixed by myself (still have no clue how I managed it...I had a bit of free time today, so I attempted to fix it on my own), so I have internet use at the moment...not sure for how long, since the 'fixed' portion may at anytime fail...so...
Anyway, I'm back.

Alright, Check this out.
Go to radio shack. Get a easy to install RJ45 Jack. They have em there in a pack of about 10 I think.
Get your plug, strip it till you have 8 colored wires. IN THIS EXACT ORDER, arrange them straight.
Orange White, Orange, Green White, Blue, Blue White, Green, Brown White, Brown. Then, put the plug on so that the CLIP IS FACING DOWN. Youll be looking at the smooth part. Slip that bad boy on, and viola, youve replaced your Cat5 Cable.

It's not the cable that needs repair, Morg...it's the actual outlet. The plastic part, anyway...my roomie shoved the Ethernet cord into the wall, breaking the plastic outlet. The cable inside works just fine, though. And I'd be too scared to mess with the wires...I'm prone to accidents.
